Straight Girl Slumming It - 2009 Calendar

'Tis the season for gift-giving, and what better time of year to reflect on all of our favorite toys from years past. Today my co-worker Carley called me in a huff because our other co-worker Katie was reminiscing about the Snoopy Sno-Cone machine she used to have.

Carley: "Yo! Quick question. Did you ever have a Snoopy Sno-cone machine?"
Me: "Yes!"
Carley: "That's not fair! You and Katie both had one and I never did! I'm trying to find someone to commiserate with, but so far everyone I talk to has had one."
Me: "I don't think I ever used it though, I just remember drinking the syrup."
Carley: "Like, straight syrup? Not in the sno-cone?"
Me: "Nope, just straight. I guess that was just the beginning..."
Carley: "Well, did you ever have the Doritos sleeping bag?"
Me: "A Doritos sleeping bag?! Like the snack chip?"
Carley: "Yep! It was the softest sleeping bag ever!"
Me: "No! Now I'm jealous!"

Then she sent me this.

To which I replied:

That is the most awesome variety of sleeping bags ever. It's not even like a Frito-lay variety, or a Marvel comic book variety. Nope, it's the best-of collection. What's with the hound dog? I can't see clearly, but it looks like he's in a collage of yuppie sports. I should do a 2009 calendar of myself like that... playing golf in January, tennis in February, polo in March. It could be a best seller.

To which Carley replied:

I know! the Doritos sleeping bag was so f'n awesome. So soft. I never knew anyone that had one until I met Katie...i think we part of an exclusive club. I know she had connections with the Frito-lay company..i don't know how I got mine...i just wish I still had it. They are no where to be found. You can't even buy it on the internet.

I know the hound dog is pretty funny. You should totally do a calendar. you could even do like an August pic with the snoopy snowcone machine you can be like pouring the syrup into your mouth all sassy while snoopy sits on the table with a big colorless ball of snow.

So now I'm all gung-ho about a 2009 Calendar. Or perhaps to save the environment (read: money), maybe at the beginning of every month in 2009, I'll post a photo on my blog. So now I need your help. What should the theme be? Click Here to take survey.

I didn't realize the snoopy snowcone was spelled "Sno-Cone"..probably because i never had one. I can't wait to see the calendar! oh and you should probably have your own reality show.
